Hamburg Welcomes First Padel Copa at Heiligengeistfeld
The city of Hamburg will host its inaugural Padel Copa from May 30 to June 2, 2024. Taking place at the Heiligengeistfeld, right next to the Active City Arena, this event marks a significant part of the International Padel Federation (FIP) calendar.
The event will feature a main centre court, powered by Jubo Padel, within the fanzone of the Active City Arena, where the beach volleyball event Queen & King of the Court will take place simultaneously. The matches are open to all fans without charge, creating a fantastic opportunity for attendees to witness top-tier padel. Germany’s leading padel players will compete against international pros, highlighting a blend of local talent and global stars. Additionally, side courts will be available at Padelon Hamburg Hummelsbüttel.
Notable participants include former ATP World Number 14, Jerzy Janowicz, and his partner Joaquin Mazzeo. The top seeds for the tournament are Italians Riccardo Sinicropi & Lorenzo di Giovanni, with Johannes Lindmeyer & Mathias Wunner leading the German entries.
The Padel Copa event is a collaborative effort between sports event organizer Sportworx, the International Padel Federation (FIP) and German Padel Association (DPV), and promises to be a real spectacle that culminates in the finals on June 2.
