All-Spanish Final Steals the Show at Padel Copa Hamburg

The curtains closed on Padel Copa Hamburg with a thrilling all-Spanish showdown at the Active City Arena. Francisco Cabeza & Manuel Aragon triumphed over Pau Minano & Jaume Romera in a tightly contested final, crowning them the champions of this FIP Rise Series event: 6-4 6-4.

This year’s tournament, jointly organized by the Deutsche Padel Verband and Sportworx, took place from May 30 to June 2. Matches were held both at the indoor Padelon Hamburg Hummelsbüttel facility and the central court within the Active City Arena fanzone at the Heiligengeistfeld. The event saw participation from some of the most promising young talents in padel, with both finalist teams consisting of teenagers aged between 16 and 18.

Throughout the week, the young athletes dominated their often older opponents, hinting at a bright future for them in the sport. Their performances ignited excitement among the spectators, with a crowd of over 1000 people gathering in the fanzone. The venue simultaneously hosted the beach volleyball event Queen & King of the Court.
